Comprehensive Eye Examination:
- Physical eye health examination
- Visual-acuity testing
- Refraction: determining glasses and contact lens prescription
- Binocular vision testing: eye coordination, muscle movement, focusing and depth perception
- Tonometry: ocular pressure testing
- Visual field test: screening of peripheral vision with computerized autoperimeter
- Retinal photography: special camera takes a digital color photograph of the back of your eye, recommended on a routine basis for baseline record of the appearance of your retina, internal blood vessels and optic nerve
Optical Boutique: We carry the latest trends in the eyewear industry, as well as a wide range of styles to fit the diverse needs of our patients. We have a large inventory of sunglasses, children's frames, sports and safety glasses.
Emergency Eye Care: Shoreline Optometry sees eye emergencies every day. Symptoms of emergencies can include eye pain, irritation, redness, discharge, sudden loss of vision, flashes and floaters, embedded foreign particles, or other injuries. If you ever experience any unusual symptoms like these, just give us a call and we will see you the same day. On-call doctors are available on weekend and holidays in the event of an ocular emergency during off-hours.
Contact Lens Services: We are committed to providing our patients with personalized contact lens care using the most advanced technologies available to achieve excellent comfort and visual quality. We are able to fit a wide variety of lens desings: soft, daily disposable, gas permeable, astigmatic, bifocal and scleral contact lenses. We also fit lenses for keratoconus and difficult prescriptions. Our experience in contact lens design and hands-on fitting enable us to help you achieve both long-term health and success in contact lens wear.
Pediatric Vision Services: Shoreline Optometry strives to provide fun and thorough eye examinations for children. We are specially equipped to perform eye exams without making them intimidating. We use a calm and friendly approach and we make the tests fun. From special eye charts with pictures to superfast autorefractor machines, we cater to kids. We even have a flat screen TV in the exam room that plays videos for kids to watch while we determine their prescription. We also do eye examinations on babies as young as 6 months old. Our doctors are participants in the American Optometric Association's InfantSee Program, which is committed to screening vision and eye health at this early stage of a child's development. Lastly, we provide contact lenses for children that are safer and more convenient than ever, as well as a wide variety of frames for children.
Advanced Diagnostic Procedures: In some cases, specialty testing is necessary to diagnose or monitor an eye problem. Our office has the following specialty instruments:

Treatment of Ocular Disease: Drs. Seger and Webb are trained and licensed to diagnose diseases of the eye. We prescribe topical and oral medications for eye infections, inflammation, allergies, glaucoma, dry eyes, and other conditions. We work with top specialists and surgeons in the area to make referrals and co-manage when indicated.
LASIK refractive surgery consultation: Having a surgical procedure performed on your eyes to correct your vision is a major decision. We strive to provide you with objective facts and counseling so that you can make the right choice.
